Lime green leaves cover the edges of the oak trees.  Tiny blossoms and pollen are emerging.

I walk into the bank to cash a check.  I use cash when I shop. Desks are empty, the room is dim.  But my favorite bank teller is here. Good Friday, and most people are someplace else.  Few people on the street.  At San Carlos Beach, an empty parking lot.  The ocean is flat and calm.  The clouds are hovering.  No wind, no waves yet.  Storm is coming later in the day.

I introduce the UGLY BETTY series to my movie friend. At first, she is reluctant, and then finds the humor and energy of the show.

Now I am reading LIGHTSEEKERS, BY Femi Kayode.  A mystery story set in modern Nigeria. This is fast comforting reading. The challenging books on my table are still waiting for me.
