Licorice candy has been irritating my stomach lately. So, I am going to try other sweets. Last night it was chocolate cake. Going to Elroys in Monterey was my second shopping adventure in the last several years.
This morning I can’t remember what TV show I watched last night. My memory just does not kick in. I subscribe to several streaming services and now can’t remember which show is on which service, HBO, Prime, Netflix, Peacock, Hulu. Too many choices.
Yesterday morning after putting my payment envelops in the mailbox with the red flag up, I sit in the sun and slowly do my chair exercises. The neighborhood is quiet, no construction noise, no car noises, no wind noises. I hear the birds chatter away. I hear my breath. I see the pink rock roses and lavender spikes and rosemary bushes.
I started reading ONE HUNDRED AUTOBIOGRAPHIES, a 2019 memoir by the poet David Lehman. He writes short essays about his medical treatment for bladder cancer. He writes from a different experience then mine. I wish I could just talk to him and ask him questions. I still am confused about how the medical system works and where my decision points are.
