My charming daughter arrives with a black cashmere sweater she found at a thrift store.  A really good bargain. For me.  Yes. I put it on and immediately I feel warm and comfortable’.  So cold and rainy this week. I can see that she is hoping I wouldn’t like it so she could keep it for herself.

Wednesday at noon I turn on the TV for news of the ex president. Arrest, jail, fines, all would be good. I am surprised at my persistence in this fantasy. I am still waiting.

In the morning I start working on my tax forms before being distracted.  I am confident today the work will be completed. Hand written Tax forms have to be submitted on time, accuracy is optional.

I am also reading the latest Scottish bookshop diary by Shaun Bythell. His fourth book. REMAINDERS OF THE DAY. It is a daily report of his life buying and selling books, people he meets and his own fears of the trade. I don’t know why I like it so much.
