The hallways were long and empty. Sometimes a solitary person sat in a chair waiting. I was left alone in a dark room for 40 minutes before the scan. The pounding sound from the ceiling reminded me of a loud clothes drier. Another long walk and then the scan machine. No drama, just one step at a time.
Drank my coffee this morning with great pleasure. No coffee yesterday. Back to my familiar routine.
Sun came out and warmed the house. Took a nap in the newly furnished room in the house. Cleaners came and magically created order out of the mess.
Almost finished with the last of Abir Mukherjee’s mysteries. Now onto something more serious.
