I have been living on social security and retirement benefits
for the last 21 years. I still have unsettling
dreams about work issues and colleagues.
I revisit decisions that cannot be unmade, arguing with myself and
others, all at night in the dark.
Smoke is back this morning, smoke and fog. Also small birds
and crows and sea gulls.
Ate lunch outside on the wharf with two friends yesterday.
Streams of families wearing masks walk by. Almost forgot we are in the middle
of a pandemic.
Another wonderful author and her new book. Eula Biss’s HAVING AND BEING HAD, writings about her daily life. This is the kind of book I wish I had written.
