I turn off Rachel Maddow show early on Monday.  I am not so interested in election news since I voted.  What a relief.

On Monday, the thick morning fog burns off mid morning in Monterey but the fog bank is close by.  In Pacific Grove we are cold sitting outside in the fog eating our lunch.

I miss the unexpected encounters in the before times.  Being in town and running into friends unexpectedly. Now I hardly recognize anyone wearing masks. Mostly I don’t see many people at all.

I have a warm chat with a neighbor while I take out the garbage bins.  She is wearing a mask. We stay apart but this short time talking lifts my spirits for the rest of the day.
