With clean air to breathe I can now look
at how to manage with the virus and epidemic.
I had forgotten about the invisible virus. Maybe the virus has forgotten
about me.
I walk up to the library’s front door
and slide my card under the scanner. The
young man checks the shelves and brings the reserved books. I can see his smile beneath his face
mask. I hope he can see mine.
Monterey has just installed a tall
black metal protective fence around the police station area. Are they worried
about future angry protests crowds? Is this about the upcoming election?
Heavy construction equipment is in front of my house this morning repairing the street again.
