A smaller cruise ship sat in the harbor yesterday morning.
The usual weedy dry edges of the Lighthouse cinema building
and sidewalk have been replaced by sweet delicate flowers. Will the deer to
find them?
THE MEMORY POLICE, by Yoko Ogawa is the latest book I am
reading. A translated Japanese book. A surrealistic
book about the future. The writer is
elegant, original and very disturbing.
There were just a few of us in the large theater sitting in
the dark watching the movie. Sunday
afternoon. Where was everyone?
