KR installed an exhaust fan in my bedroom yesterday afternoon.  I love it.  My room cooled down. I am going to get one more to dry out the basement.

Drove to Aptos for lunch with two old friends.  Pickers in the fields, water sprinklers in the crops, a while hazy sky.

I started reading LEAVING THE WITNESS, a memoir of leaving a religion and finding a life, by Amber Scorah.  Surprisingly good.

My sister and I talked on the phone last night.  We both watch Rachel on MSNBC and admitted that sometimes the news is so grim we have to turn it off before the end.  Last night was one of those nights.
