Late afternoon, the intense heat is calming down.  Slight breeze.  House is hot, everything needs watering including me.  Last week when it seemed like winter was coming, I ordered some warm clothes from LL Bean. Too early.  Will it ever really cool down.

Found a patch of poison oak under the pyracantha bush in the front yard.

Sirens in the distance, barking dogs, kids finally outside again playing.

Started reading THE BITTERROOTS, a novel by C.J. Box.  A series I have been following.  My heart is not in it.
