A sea gull stands on my glass ceiling right over my head. White underbelly, straggly legs. First time ever.
I look at the dead flowers on the geraniums and wonder if pinching
them off before they go to seed, I am torturing them unnecessarily.
There is a blue tree near the intersection of El Dorado and
Pacific Streets in Monterey. I smile
when I see it from my car window.
I am so moved by the PBS American Masters show on THE WORLDS
OF URSULA Le GUIN. I want to reread all
of her books.
