The left over chips and dips, and popcorn on the living room
table for the second debate night. Six of us showed up. Second night more
interesting. Still we wished for more
commercials. Could not pause the screen to make a comment. Tired of words by the end of the show.
Several months ago, I started reading Olga Tokarczuk’s
Booker prize winning book FLIGHTS. I
couldn’t stay with it, too scattered for me.
Now I am reading about her in the current New Yorker. Her life is more interesting than her book.
Foggy cool morning. I
am up early, ready to leave the house in the semi dark. Birds chirping, airplane moving overhead.
I love to hand quilt.
I no longer can quilt. I have a
half finished quilt to give away.
