The old tree’s plums are turning red. Some of the grasses are as tall as me. I had
it all trimmed back in May but now the wild grasses are back.
I wait for the house to cool off before doing a load of
wash. The weather people say it is going
to be a hot weekend. Trying to remember what to do to prepare.
I struggle with the right combination of bed covers at
night. I alternate being cold and too
warm. My bedroom heats up in the daytime
and is slow to release the heat at night.
In the morning the fog has cooled the room.
I found a new mystery story writer that I am liking,
MISSING, PRESUMED BY Susie Steiner, a British writer. I like the flawed complicated detective. This is her first book in the series.
