This afternoon I picked up WOMEN TALKING by Miriam Toews.  I will go back to ANGLE OF REPOSE.  Both books are sad.  Need to find a third book not quite so sad.

Warm sunny day. Birds, flowers, slight breezes through the open doors and windows. Little traffic Sunday morning moving over Carmel Hill to the Crossroads.  Stopped at Safeways.  Walked miles up and down their long aisles looking for the few items I wanted. Don’t have to take a walk today because I went to Carmel Safeways.
