Driving over Carmel Hill this morning, traffic backed up from
road construction. Cars trying to
squeeze in before me. Moving
slowly. Finally, at the bottom of the
hill a field with grasses and wild flowers and two Canadian Geese eating their breakfast.
I reluctantly finished the Donna Leon book just before
watching the evening Rachel Maddow show. I went through the stack of library
books looking for the next book to read.
I picked up my on going slow book FIGURING by Maria Popova
to read the next dense chapter. I can
only read one chapter at a time. And now
I am starting the library book, HOW TO BE LOVED, a memoir of lifesaving
friendships by Eva Hagberg Fisher. It is
promising.
Turn on the heater in the morning. Soon the heater will be
off again and the sun will be warming my rooms.
