      I usually turn off the classical music on KPFA when I am reading.  Hard to listen and read.  Today is different. Beethoven’s 4^th piano concerto starts and I have to stop reading, I love this piano music so much.  So I just listen. 

     My whole body lights up when I start a book that is enticing and interesting.  Yep it is happening again with the medical memoir, THE LADY’S HANDBOOK FOR HER MYSTERIOUS ILLNESS by Sarah Ramey. I love medical adventures and this book has many. I finally understand the difference between Functional medicine and Interventional medicine. At least I think I do.

     In the evening the personal librarian and I watch Rachel Maddow show on MSNBC. As usual she is encouraging and insightful. I make popcorn and we settle into the show. We finish feeling hopeful that our country will survive our not so bright president and his gang.

     My daughter brings me a loaf of Ad Astra bread and a sandwich at lunch time. We split the massive sandwich and the bread goes into the freezer for toasting later. Such a good day.
