     I worked for the county as a social worker for 30 years. This job allowed me as a single parent to raise three kids, put them through college and buy a home.  The visiting grandchildren’s economic lives are quite different. I had no idea of the changes that would occur in our country. My advice is out dated and yet this is the only experience I have. I listen to them carefully as they talk about their lives.

     I do love to trade stories with the tall man about the quirkiness of government bureaucracy. We compare strategies for making our work lives interesting.

     When I retired at age 59 I was determined not to sell my time again. I did lots of interesting work in my community including being a voluntary chaplain, starting meditation groups, writing groups, and advocating for homeless women.

     I am reading two books now and a stack of library books are waiting for me.  Last night I watch an episode of a new show DARBY AND JOAN on Acorn, set in Australia. I will watch more of this show.
