The 80 year old historian leaves today, driving herself back to her home. We finish watching GENTLEMAN FROM MOSCOW, a moving series. We talk a lot, eat chocolates and licorice, read our books, share our medical experiences. I will miss her. Others are arriving soon.
The sun is warming up the house today. Most of the red berries in the front yard have been eaten. Puddles are drying out. I don’t see many birds outside today.
Nothing exciting happening today. Waiting for the handyman to come sometime this week. Washing all the towels in the guest bathroom. Making more room in the refrigerator, taking out garbage.
I am now reading LOVE AND MURDER IN THE TIME OF COVID by Qiu Xiaolong. A provocative and timely take on Covid in China, with a murder added.
