The medical word is “to tolerate”. During the last two and a half years of treatments for clots and tumors, the question has been, can her body tolerate this treatment well.  I tolerated 4 surgeries, 14 days in the hospital, 4 days in intensive care, side effects and many, many invasive treatments and tests.  Actually, I didn’t tolerate one of the surgeries.  I don’t hear the word “effective”, is this treatment effective? Does it do what the medical people want? Sigh, so much to learn.

Garbage day, time for the bins to be lined up on the curb waiting for the lumbering trucks to slowly come down the street.

I finished reading MEDICINE MAN by Peter Kennedy MD and now have started THE COUNTRY OF THE BLIND, by Andrew Leland. So many books waiting to be read.

In the evening I have been watching THE UNFORGOTTEN, a British police procedural.  One episode a night and then I watch an old episode of SEINFELD to shake off the sadness of the police story.
