The tall man takes out the garbage and trash, and drags the bins to the curb. The Highland’s baker brings a fresh loaf of bread. Another successful garbage day.
The neighbors at the Labor Day gathering are charming and old. We have had this annual event for decades. We are at the age now, wondering who will be around next year for the Labor Day party. There is no guarantee for any of us.
I am caught by the scifi book CHILDREN OF TIME. Who would have thought a war between intelligent ants and spiders could be so interesting.
This morning the hammering folks are outside working on the house that will never be finished. Pounding, conversations, and birds compete for my attention.
