The fall L.L. BEAN catalog arrives. I want to buy those shiny new clothes and camping gear.  The photographs and models create a compelling fantasy dream world.  My closet is full of clothes that I don’t wear.  Maybe if I take glossy pictures of these neglected clothes, I could create my own dream world.

Garbage day again.  The former teenager drags the full bins to the curb yesterday evening. All week I add trash and garbage to the bins. This morning the bins will be emptied and I will start all over again. 52 times a year.

Two friends come on Monday mornings to write with me.  We have been meeting for years and still there is more to say and to write.  The OLLI Plein Air monthly writing group starts up in two weeks. I am busy thinking up writing prompts.

I am reading Abigail Thomas’s memoir STILL LIFE AT EIGHTY, the next interesting thing. A life I can relate to.
