Talking about Tassajara last night brings back vivid memories of the 90 days I spent in retreat during the fall months of 1995. These memories bring a calm joy to my present life. I try to live in the present moment and yet here now, I am finding goodness in old experiences in the mountains. I feel like I am cheating.

I start reading THE UNFETTERED UROLOGIST, what I never had time to tell you in a fifteen minute office visit, by Martha Boone, M.D.  Too much information, I have moved on from reading memoirs written by patients to memoirs written by doctors. I feel a change coming on. But still, I am in the middle of the medical world with these endless cancer treatments.

Watch a wonderful documentary on Margaret Atwood on HULU.  She is 83 years old too. Now I want to reread some of her books or maybe all of her books.

Water the dry front yard but do not take out the pile of cardboard boxes glaring at me in the living room.  Today is garbage day and this is the top of the list.
