The house is cold and quiet this morning. While most of the world is over heated, we are cold. My fingers, typing this report, are cold. No turning on the heater, it is July after all.
Last night, before going to bed, I make a large bowl of buttered popcorn for the former teenager and the east coast daughter. Popcorn is my specialty. They are quietly reading books, real paper books, in the living room.
Started reading David Grann’s THE WAGER, a tale of shipwreck, mutiny and murder. He also wrote KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON, a favorite of mine. Yes, it is a very good read. I am not sure how he makes it so interesting.
I am getting stronger. The doctor said it would take four weeks to recover from the last treatment session on June 27. In three weeks, I will have another cystoscopy to determine if the cancer is back. The first step in becoming a pretend doctor is learning the language. The 92 episodes of NEW AMSTERDAM helped.
