As a young girl at Santa Catalina in the 1950’s I listened to the stories of Winnie the Pooh hundreds of times. If we were good students and did our work, we were rewarded with ten minutes of Winnie the Pooh chapters. Now, I realize my style of jeans and flannel shirts fit the north woods of Winnie the Pooh land.
This morning the sun is shinning on our neighborhood after weeks of grey mornings.
My turn arrives for the library book, THE COVENANT OF WATER a novel by Abraham Verghese. Can I can actually read all 700 pages.
I want a russet potato and three mandarin oranges. Nope the fancy gourmet market did not have them. They have gorgeous perfect produce. I walk through the store bewildered by the packages and jars on the shelves. I live and cook in a different world.
