At bedtime sirens approach, becoming louder and then, passing into the darkness and finally stopping.  The only story I have is one I have made up. I realize I have become engrossed in CLOUD CUCKOO LAND and everything has an aura of magic.

My two friends come in the morning for our weekly writing. We have been meeting for years and we have not run out of things to talk about or write about. I started writing feeling dull and then words came and I filled the page.

NEW AMSTERDAM has moved into my conversations with friends.  We talk about the characters and situations in this fictional hospital as if they were real. We think we know the true story about hospitals and doctors.

I am educating myself on the variety of pull up protective underwear. I am very uncomfortable using the word diaper.  I wish there were better words to talk about urology issues.  The most comfortable pull ups are of course the most expensive.  I save them for special occasions.
