Yesterday, I pick up the car keys and go outside to my car. I adjust the mirror and seat after my very tall grandson drove the car. It has been 6 weeks since I have been in the driver’s seat.  And I can do it.  I drive to the library to return books, to the bank for more cash, and then to San Carlos Beach to watch the ocean.  The town looks clean and fresh, very little traffic.  A winter sun and a blue grey ocean.  All is well.

Sadness and grief arrive unexpectedly in the evening.  A familiar reminder that Life is precious and it is hard work to be sick. Feeling and emotions come and go, sometimes it is joy and sometimes it is sadness. This morning I feel content.

Time to shift my evening TV.  I am bored with news of the Republicans in congress.  I want to watch more movies.  So many good ones now streaming. My current interest is THE LYING LIVES OF ADULTS, and THIRTEEN LIVES.

Woke up in the dark and heard the distant sound of chain saws starting and stopping. And later the drops of rain on the roof. And this morning I saw the yellow blooming acacia trees from the kitchen window.
