I tackle the large amazon boxes this morning. Slicing through the tapes and ripping open the cardboard. Mostly the boxes have medical supplies. I wish it was something more exciting. The radio is tuned again to 103.9 classical station from Seaside.
Reading the day old paper New York Times in the morning after breakfast brings me great satisfaction. It is not the political news but the articles, the arts, the business sections all open up the world to me. And the obituaries. I hesitate with the cost, but then realize the joy of reading the paper.
I talk to a woman on the phone about my experiences of home care after surgery. She has questions and I have knowledge to share. I am an experienced patient in today’s medical world.
I haven’t driven my car for 6 weeks now. I am waiting for a non rainy day to take a ride. I don’t want to loose my driving skills. The amount of rain we have had for weeks is astounding.
