This week I fail at being a competent patient.  I carry around my cellphone close to my body, even in the bathroom. I don’t hear the many medical phone calls.  I keep fiddling with the settings to fix the problem.  Nothing works and I go through the complicated Montage phone system to return the calls. It would help if the callers said their names in the messages.  Finally in the afternoon I discover that the sound is turned off.  I push the tiny switch and voila, the phone rings. I don’t apologize.  I am anxious about the upcoming surgery. Sigh.

Woke up to gusts of wind pounding my house.  Outside the tall pines were being whipped around. The old orange pine needles are gone, only green is left.

I am more then half way through the 900 page book.  I am continuing.

My sister will take care of me after the surgery.  I am looking for good movies on line to watch.
