I drove around yesterday to see the new tents and RV’s
parked on the street and partially hidden by the freeway. I ask my friends what
they would need if they had to move out to the street. They are thinking about
it. A new wave of people living outside
is coming to town.
More people are wearing masks. It is hard to recognize each other with part
of our faces erased.
Two more Martin Beck mysteries arrived from the
library. I am also reading Ben
Ehrenreich’s new book, DESERT NOTEBOOKS.
I have to read each word to understand what he is saying.
The naked lady plants are blooming all over town. I marvel at their coordination in popping up.
