Out my bedroom window I see my neighbor, the father of two
small kids. He is chasing his toddler up
the street as she is making an escape.
His tartan bathrobe flying behind him.
He catches the errant child and carries her back to the house. The wind is blowing and rain is ready to descend
on us all.
I am without heat and light, Day 4 with no end in sight. Friends
offer all kinds of help but I am unwilling to abandon my cold house. This
morning the sun came out and will warm up my home. I spend time at the library to charge my
IPhone and computer. I check my
email. My hands are warming up. My body
and mind are slowing down, harder to make decisions and make plans. I tell everyone I am fine and I am fine but
still it is difficult.
