A favorite author has a new book out.  The library has not ordered it so I bought it on Amazon.  GOLDEN STATE, a novel by Ben Winters.  I am going to read it today.

A friend says that she likes my new vest.  No, it is not new, I bought it a year ago and hated it so I never wore it. It hung on the coat rack until I got used to it and it got used to me.  I never like the clothes I buy until some transformation happens and we become friends.

At Safeways this morning to buy some foods, I walk pass the valentine candy display, rows of pink candy in plastic bags.  I pick up a couple and look at them.  I don’t like pink candy. I am eating more vegetable lately, adding to my diet of corn in popcorn and potatoes in chips.
