Pick up more books on hold at the library.  THE BEST AMERICAN ESSAYS, 2018, edited by Hilton Als.  I read the first essay at San Carlos Beach parking lot, watching the storm waves.  Yes, I realize, this is a winner.

I do my morning exercises to Winton Marsalis music on Pandora.  The sun starts to appear in the sky.

I finish a load of wash and put the wet clothes into the drier.  Pushing the start button, nothing happens.  I push again and again, twist dials and push the buttons.  Now I have draped the wet clothes around the house hoping they will dry.  Of course, I could go to the laundromat or ask a neighbor for help.  I could but I don’t. Duncans appliance people will consider coming on Monday.
