A solitary black cat occasionally appears in my back yard. Sitting still in the piles of dirt he waits for me to turn my head to slip away. Daily, more dogs are barking in the neighborhood. Underground creatures, build holes and push piles of dirt up to the surface both in the front and the back yards. And my car is hosting invisible spiders who weave their webs in the cracks of my car. I am not alone.
Another humid overcast morning. The weather is from the south. Not quite fall or winter weather. I want to buy more presto logs for the fireplace to prepare for the winter storms.
We watch episode two of THE MORNING SHOW in the early evening. Although I like it, the story is bizarre. When I am alone, I watch another episode of LYNLEY. I prefer to have all the episodes drop at the same time.
The friendly librarian brings me another book. This time EAST OF EDEN by John Steinbeck. I read this book 70 years ago in high school. My photographer daughter is now reading it and inspires me to also read it.
