In the morning, finally I drive my car after several months of not driving. I am surprised at the crush of people and bikes and dogs and baby strollers downtown.  Who are these people? I am careful to avoid hitting any car or person or bike. I am glad to see real people. I can drive again.

The street trees are turning yellow and the leaves are beginning to fall.  At San Carlos beach the massive crowds of sea lions occupy the beach and ocean. Black plastic bags cover the park area railings and fences to keep out the sea lions. People and dogs have the lawn and picnic areas.

The baker brings her fresh baked bread in the afternoon. The dog lover brings pizza and cookies. I am not going to be hungry this weekend. Actually, I am never hungry.

Start to reread THE SECRET HOURS by Mick Herron. I vaguely remember the book and am enjoying it. In the evening, I watch two detective shows, on going shows with familiar characters. THE UNFORGOTTEN and THE MARLOW MURDER CLUB. There is something appealing to be with these known characters. They have become family to me.
