     My roommate dresses in her warm bear costume in the afternoon. She is scheduled to sit at an information table at Seaside farmers market. Perfect, it is cold outside and inside.  Our heater is still broken and we are using a plug in electric heater to take off the chill in the living room. The heating specialist says he will come this afternoon to assess the problem. I don’t know how long it will take to fix the thirty year old forced air heating system.

     I am continuing to do the twenty minute yoga chair exercise routine this week. It is challenging, so maybe it is effective. I also walk on my deck, back and forth, listening to the airplanes, the steady roar of distant traffic and the seagulls. The visiting neighborhood black cat watches me from the back yard.

     We are intrigued by the new Apple TV thriller DOWN CEMETERY ROAD. Our only complaint is we have to wait until Wednesday for the weekly drop of new episodes.

      I start reading a surprisingly interesting novel, DEATH OF THE AUTHOR by Nnedi Okorafor. The challenge is learning and remembering the unfamiliar character names.
