I look at today’s date and I feel a bit of agitation.  Is this someone’s birthday?  Am I forgetting something? My brain acts slowly. It will come to me or it won’t. I’ve never been good with birthdates and special dates. So, if I am missing something, please let me know.

My old friend in his old yellow truck comes by for a visit. This truck is an antique. Parked in front of my house gives me some status with the neighbors. We continue our decades long conversation about families and work and life. He loves his old trucks.

The NO KING protest here in Monterey goes really well. My roommate wears her bear costume. Over 9,000 people participated. Considering Monterey has only 35,000 residents, we did well.

In the evening, we watch the last episode of TASK.  What a great ending.  What an interesting series. I start reading Matthew Sullivan’s second novel, MIDNIGHT IN SOAP LAKE. I am liking it as much as I liked his first book.
