     Thursday morning, we lose our power for several hours.  Most everyone in Monterey is without power. It is scary. Could this be permanent? Is no power beginning of the end? Well no, the power comes back on.  I order more solar lights for this coming winter.  It is time to prepare for storms and surprises.

     We are watching the Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert shows on demand during the day. Don’t want to miss any political jokes. We support free speech.

     I was released from the hospital two months ago and finally I am somewhat healthy. The sun is out.  The car is waiting for me. This week’s rain washes off the car dust.

     I continue to read THE HOLLOW HALF a memoir by Sarah Aziz. Such a difficult book, exploring the life of a Palestinian woman living in the United States. Tonight, we are going to watch the new season of SLOW HORSES.
