    We watch the Emmy’s on TV while we eat our dinner, Costco chicken, artichokes and ice cream. The show is surprisingly well done.  Some of my favorite TV series are honored, THE PITT, HACKS and ADOLESCENCE. A mixed bag of winners.

     The New York Times Sunday paper is filled with listings of potentially interesting fall shows and books. Too many. I skim through the lists. It will be hit or miss if I find something good to remember. I finish watching HOSTAGE and found it quite compelling.

     I stay with reading NOT MY TYPE, one woman vs. a president, by E. Jean Carroll. Compelling and just perfect for my current reading attention.

     Another two nap day. The young poet and her energetic parents are in and out of the house as she packs more stuff for her college apartment. I watch and stay out of the way, and resist giving opinions and advice.
