     Yep, my 2008 Honda element does start up Friday near noon, the car had idle for a month or maybe two.  I park in the same spot at McGowen house. Been in the same spot hundreds of times over the years.  I wear a mask and sit zazen with the group. And then I talk., and listen. Such a treat to show up again.  I am grateful.

     I write the checks for the monthly bills, and seal and stamp the envelops. My usual drop mailbox is missing, the area is under construction. The checks are not in the mail yet.

     Wild storm arrives during the night.  In the morning two large wet cardboard boxes sit by the front door.  I drag them in by the heater to dry off before opening them. I still have power unlike most of the town.

     Same TV series in the evening. BLACK DOVES and MY LIFE IS MURDER. One is extremely intense and the other is comforting.
