Frost on the neighborhood roofs this morning. My house is cold and the sun is streaming through the kitchen windows slowly beating back the cold. I can’t keep my hands off the thermostat, on and off. I worry about the high PG&E bill. When I was a single mother with young kids, it was the unpredictable heating bill that threatened our family stability. When my family visits, I will heat up the house. My kids know that I have been super hung-up about heating up the house forever.
I watch a new Apple+ series, MIDNIGHT FAMILY, the story of a family run private ambulance in crowded Mexico City. In Spanish with sub titles. Really good. I am also enjoying MY LIFE IS MURDER on prime.
I am reading two interesting books now, John Green’s PAPER TOWNS and Peter Heller’s novel THE LAST RANGER.
Most of the chemo side effects have subsided now. I am walking outside and doing my daily exercise routine. The sun heats up the deck, and I walk back and forth while the sun warms my body. No medical appointments or treatments until mid January. I have a lot to be thankful for.
