Friday at the PCP doctor’s waiting room.  No plastic screen around front desk.  Music playing.  Staff friendly, faces visible.  In the waiting room chairs close together. Two chairs are chewed and scratched.  No magazines on the tables.  Almost back to normal. Visit is good.

Most of my physical issues have no solution.  Tiredness, interrupted sleep, sore knees, swollen painful hands.  Are they caused by aging and/or by the immunotherapy cancer treatments. I am comforted having a medical person listen and talk with me even for a 15 minute appointment. My medical care comes in long episodes in waiting rooms and short focused visits with a nurse or a doctor.

I complete my weekly Instacart order.  I spend days adding and removing items. Mostly what arrives is what I ordered.  Sometimes there is a surprise. The shoppers are kind and thoughtful as they place the bags on my kitchen counters.

I finish reading the Deborah Crombie satisfying book, WATER LIKE A STONE.
