         I order the HEART: A HISTORY book from Amazon as a gift for my daughter and then find out she too has ordered it. I did a good job in telling her what it was about.

         Yesterday, I have the fans out, and the doors and windows open, looking for any breeze that might come by. At night we leave the front door open with the screen locked. This morning the cool fog is back.

         I didn’t watch the Republican debates last night. Instead, my lovely daughter and the former teenager sit around the living room and talk to each other.

         I spent most of the day reading SMALL MERCIES, a sad powerful novel. Today I am going to read one of my favorite authors Abigail Thomas, WHAT COMES NEXT AND HOW TO LIKE IT. She writes wonderful memoirs.
