         On facebook the Monterey police department report their daily activities of car week traffic enforcement.  Maybe to calm down the concerns of the local folks on the loud car invasions this week. Maybe not.

         I do most of the tasks yesterday, slowly.  Pay bills, pull up the little red flag on the mail box. Water the plants on the deck.  Slice and freeze the sour dough bread. Open the last of the cardboard boxes on the dinning room table.  So much work so little time. Take a long nap.

         I am energized by the reporting on the old man’s legal issues in Georgia. The news is more exciting than any of the programs I usually watch.  My favorite reporter now is Ari Melber on MSNBC.

I am still reading a Deborah Crombie mystery novel.  Her enticing books are complicated and take time to complete.
