The computer is my friend only as long as I keep feeding it. Like a pet it needs attention and regular charging. Several black cords in different rooms are set up to do the job. My computer is my primary path to visiting the wider world. My cell phone comes in second. I seldom think about these wonder devices.
Today is the last day of clearing out stuff in the kitchen and living room to make room for the visiting east coast family. If I do a good job the visit is more enjoyable.
A young blue jay is exploring the bottle bush trees outside my window. Soft belly feathers and loud skreiches. Foggy cold morning again. Gong to wear my black cashmere sweater for warmth today.
I hit paydirt with this latest library book. THE LEAVING SEASON, a memoir in essays by Kelly McMasters. Well written and great stories of a woman’s life in these times.
