         The thick fog dissipated quickly in the early morning.  Summer is here at least today. Chicken manure in the pots brings more flowers. Yesterday an almost full day of sunshine. Doors and windows open. No smoke here yet, fire season hasn’t started yet on the California central coast. I can’t stop smiling.

         I have been wearing my new socks on my short wide feet. These colorful socks squeeze my feet.  Once again, I am disappointed. Back to my old worn out socks. Unopened packages accumulate again on the dining room table. Old habits persist.

         No plans for the day yet. Maybe a visit to my favorite place, San Carlos Beach.

         The latest Anne Hillerman book arrived from the library, THE WAY OF THE BEAR. I love her work.
