An unexpected benefit of old age is seeing my grown up children as bright, thoughtful and kind. I was so busy making a living and a life that I didn’t notice.  Not only my kids but also almost everyone I come into contact with.

It is Monday morning and the construction trucks and guys with tools are back working on the house across the street.

Yes, this book is perfect for me. HOW MEDICINE WORKS AND WHEN IT DOESN’T by Dr. Perry Wilson. I am learning how medical decisions are made, the role of studies, and the odds of a particular treatment being effective with an individual like me. I am getting ready for the next stage of treating bladder cancer, a cancer that is not curable but can be treatable.

More episodes of DIPLOMAT last night. Two more episodes to go and then I have to look for another show.  I am also watching women comedians on Netflix.  I want to laugh. I usually just watch 15 minutes of a show at a time, sometimes they are funny and sometimes poignant. I do like to watch women talk about their lives on a stage.
