Tuesday, as gusts of wind blow through the yard, I watch power lines attached to my house twist and pull. I check the red light on the tv set to see if I still have electricity. My two relatives lose their power but not me. Now this morning the sun is out and house windows are damp.
Relatives come to my house to recharge their devices and warm their food. The storm season is lasting much too long for comfort.
My energetic daughter is taking me for my treatment appointment this morning. I am ready. And I am dreading it.
I like playing solitaire on the computer. I can spend hours pushing those cards around, creating order in the midst of chaos. New strategies to get the cards lined up are arising.
