More rain and fierce winds last night and still I have heat and lights.  Just lucky. Haven’t been out to see the damage.  My life is centered around my home and yard. I am ready to get out more.

My East coast daughter recommends the older TV series ER on HULU. Yep another good medical series. This is from the 1990’s. No cell phones or computers.  The doctors sit around a table and write notes in the stacks of files. Everyone talks to each other rather than looking at screens. The doctors actually touch the bodies of patients. I remember those days. Not my experience of current hospitals.

Back to reading the tome, WE DON’T KNOW OURSELVES, a history of modern Ireland, by Fintan O’Toole.  Helps me understand my father and his Irish family.  Women had a very difficult time in Ireland.

No birds out in the storm weather this morning.  Actually, no people out either.
