I send a My Chart message to the Urology doctor. Within two hours I receive a phone call back with worthwhile information. I am definitely learning the system.

From the kitchen window at dusk, I see the distant flashing landing lights at the airport, and the light of a plane moving towards landing. The street lights start up and the red and green lights from the town’s intersections, cycle through. All is well.

In the middle of the night, I start reading a new book, SLOW BIRDING, the art and science of enjoying the birds in your own backyard, by Joan Strassmann. Soon I am able to go back to sleep.

The potted plants on the deck are gangling and unkempt. Time to prune and fertilize. The week’s last doctor’s appointment is today.  My questions are ready.
