Last night I lost the ability to fall asleep. For hours I was half asleep and restless.  Finally, I got up and read and then back to bed.  I must have slept because I woke up in the morning.

Dirty yellow skies at dawn.  California is on fire.

Started watching BORGEN, the Danish political series.  I had heard it was good but I resisted. Now is the time.

Airplanes flying overhead, sirens in the distance.  New normal. Sigh.  I don’t hear any birds this morning.
